2 Days from Fes to Merzouga Desert

Day 1: Fes - Ifrane - Midelt - Gorges Ziz - Erfoud - Rissani - Merzouga.

Your driver will meet you at your riad or hotel at 7:00 a.m., departure and transport (7 hours) over the Middle Atlas mountains through the cedar forests of Ifrane (the Switzerland of Morocco), Azrou, Midelt, and the gorges of Ziz towards the Sahara until the dunes of Erg Chebbi appear on the horizon. After relaxing a few minutes in Merzouga, we go to the camels who are waiting to take us on an adventure in the sand dunes. We will spend the night in a camp equipped with drum music in the middle of the Sahara, we will go to a high dune to watch the sunset, and we will spend the night in nomadic tents.

DAY 2: Merzouga - Midelt - Ifrane - Fes.

We will wake up early to enjoy a magnificent sunrise in the dunes and then take a camel ride back to the hotel. After cooling down and having breakfast we will go to Fez. We will travel through the Ziz Valley and the Middle Atlas Mountains as we depart from the desert region towards Fez. We will drive through the cedar forests of Azrou and stop to feed the monkeys. We will continue via Ifrane, the Switzerland of Morocco’ to arrive early in the afternoon in Fez.
