Itinerary: 5 Days Tour from Tangier to Marrakech

Day 1: Tangier - Chefchaouen

We will meet at the port or your hotel and travel to the small fortress town called Chefchaouen. Its buildings and houses are painted blue and white and it is one of the most beautiful cities in the Rif mountains. You will have free time to explore Chefchaouen on your own. We spent this night at the local riad in the medina.

Day 2: Chefchouen - Volubilis - Meknes - Fez

After breakfast, we will continue our tour to the archaeological site of Volubilis where you can explore the famous Roman ruins. Then we head to Meknes to visit the ancient imperial city and its most interesting monuments. In the afternoon we will arrive in Fez and explore its medina where we will spend the night in the local riad.

Day 3: Fez - Ifrane - Azrou - Midelt - Merzouga

After breakfast, we will drive from Fez to Ifrane, which is a beautiful mountain village, often called Switzerland of Morocco. We will stop near a forest of cedars in the Middle Atlas mountains where you will see monkeys enjoying their freedom. We continue our journey to Azrou – Berber village in the largest cedar forest in Morocco. Next, we will visit the town of Midelt famous for its minerals and cool weather in summer. We will travel to the Ziz valley and visit Erfoud and its fossil products. In Rissani we will visit the local souk and eat Berber pizza. Later, we arrived in the Merzouga Desert and spent the night in a desert hotel right in front of the dunes.

Day 4: Merzouga Desert - Todra Gorges - Dades Gorges

Early in the morning, we will see the sunrise from the high dune, then we will continue on camel back to our hotel in Merzouga. After breakfast and shower, we continue our private tour of Morocco to Rissani and Erfoud where we can visit fossil marble factories and shops. Then we cross Tinjdad city, Tinghir city, and Todra Gorges. It is a paradise for climbers and you will have free time to discover it for yourself. In the afternoon we continue to the Dades valley where we will dine and stay in a local riad/hotel.

Day 5: Dades Gorges - Roses Valley - Skoura - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech

Today we leave for Marrakech to visit Ouarzazate where we can visit the film studios and also the local kasbah. We continue our private tour from Morocco to Ait Ben Haddou to visit its famous village and kasbah. Many famous films were shot here. Then we continue through the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n Tichka Pass.
