6 Days Tour from Agadir to Fes via Merzouga Desert

Day 1: Transfer from the airport to your hotel.

Our experienced driver will meet you at Agadir airport and will take you to the location of your choice, your accommodation or any other place you wish to visit depending on your arrival time.

Day 2: Travel from Agadir to the imperial city of Marrakech

After your breakfast, we will start your private 6 Days Desert Tour from Agadir to Fes leaving the city of Agadir and heading to Marrakech taking the road from Agadir to Marrakech. After a total of 3 hours drive with some stops along the way through the High Atlas Mountains and the Berber villages of Souss. Once you reach the imperial city of Marrakech, you will meet our local city guide to start a walking tour of the Medina (ancient red city of Marrakech). You will start by visiting the historical monuments of Marrakech, including the famous Palace of the Bahia, a walk through the gardens of the Koutoubia mosque, and finally the famous Jamaa El Fana square at night.

Day 3: Marrakech - High Atlas - Telouet Kasbah - Ait Benhaddou Kasbah - Ouarzazate

After breakfast, we will start our tour and cross the Pass Atlas. On the way, we will stop to enjoy the breathtaking view of the Atlas Mountains and the Tizi N’Tichka Pass (2260m). We will arrive at a small Berber village Telouet, in this village we will visit the Kasbah Telouet built in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries for the powerful family of the Glaoui; Telouet Kasbah is a rare sight to behold. Decorated with colorful mosaics and red stuccoes, the Kasbah was ideally located on the caravan trail.

Rest there for lunch in a local restaurant. Later, we will head towards the town of Ouarzazate along the impressive valley of Ounila through Berber villages to get to the ancient Kasbah Ait Benhaddou. This fortified city was built on the caravan road between Marrakech and the Sahara and was once a thriving commercial center in the seventeenth century. Within the high walls of land, there are 6 kasbahs and a small number of houses. Ait Benhaddou has appeared in several films, including Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. In the afternoon we will visit Atlas Studios in Ouarzazate. the night will be in a hotel/ or Riad in Ouarzazate.

Day 4: Ouarzazate - Rose Valley - Dades Valley - Todra Gorges- Erfoud - Erg Chebbi Dunes (Merzouga)

After breakfast, we will start our journey from Ouarzazate known as the “desert gate” to Merzouga. We will stop to discover the beautiful architecture of Kasbah Taourirte located in the city of Ouarzazate. After that, we will drive along the thousands of roads from Kasbah, Rose valley, Dades valley, and Todra valley. We will enjoy the green view full of wooded palm trees and almond trees.

Later we reach Todra Gorge a cold and natural place with its imposing orange cliffs, the canyons of Todra Gorge are almost 1000 meters deep. It is also a favorite place for climbers, where we will take the time to discover this amazing place. In the afternoon we continue our way to the Sahara desert along with many Berber villages such as Tinjdad, Melaab, and Erfoud. We will have free time for lunch, before reaching the magical land of sand dunes, accommodation at the hotel / or Riad in Merzouga.

Day 5: Desert Excursion - Merzouga Lake - Khamliya Village - Nomad Family - Camel Trekking and Desert Camp Night

After breakfast, we will begin our journey through the sand dunes of Erg-Chebbi. We will explore many interesting places in the area, such as: Merzouga Lake (not always full of water) to see the types of birds (ducks and flamingos) that come to live on this lake, especially in the spring. We will visit the khamliya village, where you will hear African music (Gnawa) performed by people from Black Africa, who will continue our tour in the desert outside the road to the black desert behind the sand dunes Erg-Chebbi. We will visit an abandoned village where working mineral fossils, then drive to visit a nomadic Berber family to see their way of life.

We will return to Khamliya for a delicious lunch at the local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will start the trekking adventure on a camel, through the beautiful orange sand dunes unique for the desert camp. The great experience where you can feed your soul, enjoy the beautiful sunset of the dunes center. Dinner and night will be at the camp, music is played and you can have fun in the sand dunes under millions of stars.

Day 6: Merzouga Desert - Erfoud - The Ziz Valley - Midelt - Cedar Forest - Ifrane - Fes

After breakfast, we leave the magical desert of the Moroccan Sahara to Fes imperial city through Erfoud known for its souk dates and fossils and enjoy the panoramic view of the Ziz valley with its palm groves along the river, and the Berber villages along the Middle Atlas mountains. We will have time to have lunch in Midelt before continuing into the famous cedar forest of Azrou to take memorable photos with wild monkeys. And then in Ifrane, the Switzerland of Morocco before arriving in Fes to spend the night in a Riad/ hotel.
