Itinerary: 12 Day Tours from Marrakech to Merzouga Desert

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Merzouga Morocco Tours guide will meet you at the Airpot and transfer you directly to your accommodation.

Day 2: Marrakech Sightseeing

A whole day journey of Marrakech, stopping at the Menara, a lake encircled by flowerbeds that operate like a watering method for the adjacent meadows. The sightseeing tour will contain many striking scenes: The Koutoubia mosque, Majorelle Gardens, Bahia Palace, and Dar Si Said Palace museum of jewelry. There may be a possible lunch in the Medina, next will be a march across the colorful markets of Marrakech. Day 3: Marrakech – High Atlas – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley.

Our Morocco desert trip will be inaugurated from Marrakesh to Dades valley through the elevated Atlas way gorge of Tizi-n-Tichka. then, we will have the occasion to sight the universal legacy location of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah as it has been selected as a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1987. then, we’ll traverse Ouarzazate, or some named it Hollywood of Africa, after Ouarzazate we will go on to Dades valley across Kelaat M’Gouna. Dinner and Breakfast include.

Day 4: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga Desert.

After breakfast, we head on our exclusive tour of the Todra Gorge, which is one of the first ascending sites in Morocco. after, we go to Merzouga along oases of palms. We will stop at Erfoud which is celebrated by Marbel fossils. Then, we maintain the same direction to Erg Chebbi Dunes and we will share a good night in the Guest House.

Day 5: Discovering Merzouga Desert

A part of our private tour will be around Erg Chebbi Dunes where nomads are still living, beginning with Khamlia or traditional Gnawa music. Later, we visit some deserted mines and an oasis of palm trees. After we come back to the Guest House for riding camels inside sand dunes, Sun-set and we spend a night in the middle of the Sahara desert.

Day 6: Merzouga - Taous - Ouzina - Ramlia - Tafraouite Sidi Ali.

In the morning we will start our 6th day from Merzouga through Taous, then we will arrive at Ouzina and Ramlia to Sidi Ali Tafraouite where we will have the night there. We will drive through the Mountains of M’Harech and Tafraouite Sidi Ali to The Kasbah Marabout where you will spend your night.

Day 7: Tafraouite Sidi Ali - Oumjrane - Zagora - Tamnougalt - Agdz

After breakfast we will cross Oumjrane in Zagora, we will have lunch there before continuing our way to Agdz. After lunch we head towards Tamnougalt, It is a kasbah and date oasis in the Atlas Mountains and is located in the valley of the river Draa in Morocco, about 75 kilometers south of Ouarzazate. The village is a short walk from Agdz and has a famous kasbah. Jbel Kissane is located to the north with views of the landscape. Spend a night in Agdz with Dinner and Breakfast included.

Day 8: Agdz - Taznakht - Taliouine – Taroudant.

In the morning we will continue our trip to Taroudant through the Taznakht which is a town in the province of Ouarzazate, Drâa-Tafilalet region, in southern Morocco, on the road from Ouarzazate to Agadir. Not to be confused with Tazenakht, which is a village near Ouarzazate. We will drive to Taliouine, It is a village in the province of Taroudant, Souss-Massa, Morocco. The main language used in Taliouine is the variety (Berber) Tashelhit.

Taliouine is famous for its saffron production and is one of the main exporters of this spice worldwide. The city celebrates Anmugar Amadal N Zafran, ( The International Saffron Festival ) every year in winter (usually November), the season when the saffron flower germinates. You will arrive to Taroudant city. Night at the hotel / Riad.

Day 9: Taroudant – Essaouira

This day will be about 4hrs of driving through the Atlantic Coast to reach up to Essaouira which is a port and seaside town on the Atlantic coast of Morocco. Its medina (old town) is protected by 18th-century seafront walls, called Skala de la Kasbah, designed by European engineers. Old brass cannons line the walls and there are ocean views. The strong trade winds “Trade winds” make the half-moon beach of the city popular for surfing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing. Overnight at the local Hotel/Riad.

Day 10: Exploring Essaouira

This appealing imaginative town is blue and white. Once Essaouira, you can see the fishermen discharge their gain of the day and the fishing small ships coming back to port .take pleasure by having a meal in the various port bistros offering a lunch based on freshly caught fish. ramble along the avenues, walk around the old city walls, and wonder at the medina, crammed with native craftsmen vending their manual profession of timbered Thuya. another motivating space: is the seashore, a calm place where you can feel a tranquil and comforting afternoon. spend your magical night.

Day 11: Essaouira – Marrakech.

Quit Essaouira and head along with the Moroccan sceneries to Marrakech. look at the small villages.

Plants disappear then superseded by argan trees. If you like, you can stop eating argan oil in a small enterprise of argan products. This multi- functions oil is popular for its use in food preparation and aesthetics. you will arrive in Marrakech. spend a great night.
